Philip Linden opened the town hall by saying that they weren’t announcing anything today. That it wasn’t a day for announcing policy, but a day for listening. And that he hoped there could be more of these going forward.
In addition to a large, 3-region in-world crowd, the town hall was also streamed live on YouTube.
Pros & Cons
It seemed like the speakers were maybe 2/3 anti-AI and 1/3 pro-AI. All the speakers were very passionate and felt that keeping AI out, or allowing it in, was essential. Philip Linden reflected thoughtfully on the virtues in each speaker’s perspective.
