Skating with

Skating is flying with your feet on the ground. It’s a magical experience in any world!

Your fleshvatar might be a good skater, or your legs might turn to rubber when you strap skates on. SL skating gives a taste of the experience of flying. Unlike the PW, we can fly, in the air, in SL. Yet in many ways I have a more visceral feeling of flying when SL skating than when actually in the SL air! SL skating is a little magic, and a lot of fun!

• Ice Skating
• Roller Skating
• Roller Derby

Put on a big coat and skate on ice in the winter. Put on shorts and a little top and skate with rollers in the summer. It’s always skating season!

Recently I joined Roadkill Roller Derby. Given my history of disappearing after doing something in SL for a little while I can’t make any bold claims. I hope I stick around!

Roller Derby or not, skating is so much fun in SL. Sometimes I can almost feel the breeze against my cheeks. It’s a great activity with a friend, or to meet new friends. I know I and the other bloggers here at Kate Nova.uk will be doing lots of winter and summer skating as the days of our virtual lives go by.
