You might say that VR dancing is “fake”. That our bodies are only made of bits and not atoms. But perhaps this is part of the power of dancing in SL. The chance to believe, to imagine, to project our essence into our carefully crafted pixels. To flow with the music and with others.
There are so many dance clubs in SL! Playing so many different kinds of music. Places to chillax. Places to cut loose. Places to be with friends. Places to make new friends.
I was doing a bit of midweek work at the coffee shop, waxing the dance floor and such. Simmy (simone1415) dropped by to take a look at the shop. She’s been wanting to visit one of our Sunday parties but hasn’t had a chance yet. We danced and talked for a while.
I went by the Lesbian Loft to take a Daily Booth photo, and then wound up dancing with Maria Luiza (marialuizanatalia). It was a bit “Land of the Giants” there and my 175 cm / 5’9″ avatar felt short and small around many of the guests. But Maria Luiza was my size and we started talking.
I went by the CMNF Lounge to dance and hang out. The place is full of turkeys! It’s like a “Thanksgiving Turkey Advent Calendar!” Loni carved one up for us with a chainsaw, but gave Julia a flesh wound in the process!
After Thursday night SLCS practice Amber Hazel Woods (BongzieHaze) and I headed over to a club she hosts at to listen to her favorite Blues DJ. And do some dancing in the street in Maddy’s SLCS 15th Anniversary uniforms.
