Second Life Blogroll! Over the years there must have been many thousands of Second Life blogs! But how many are still active here in 2024? Who knows!?!?

Is Blogging Over?

It feels like blogging was “over” a long time ago. In First Life (FL) blogging has faded as TikTok, YouTube, and other media have risen. Or has it?

FL Blogging

Has FL blogging faded? Or does it simply have so much media to compete with? Once upon a time all we had were books. Later film, radio, and television came along. Today we have many Internet platforms. My FL blog doesn’t just compete with with other blogs. Or just with other Internet media. It competes with everything! With Kim Kardashian, Emma Chamberlain, Taylor Swift, Margot Robbie, and thousands more. So much “content”! So little time!

SL Blogging

Here in Second Life (SL) what passes for “blogging” has largely moved from blogging platforms like WordPress, Substack, Tumblr, Blogger, and so on, to Flickr. In FL Flickr is kind of a “failed Instagram.” But in SL Flickr is huge. Most “Flickr blogs” are photos with shopping credits. I’ve seen Flickr blogs that are text rich, but they’re the exception.

So, back to my initial question: What Second Life blogs are active here in 2024?
