A nice group gathered around the fireside this Monday morning. Chatting about a little this and a little that.

A few of us metup at the fireside at Skytower Stadium, Coucourse Level. We went out to the walkway to take some pictures with CheerAdmin. After photos we stood around chatting and Charlize wandered by in her festive, new, holiday dress.
Taking selfies with post-makeover CheerAdmin. She rocks Skytower Stadium!
Some thoughts on the end of one year. And the beginning of the next. With a bit of reverie and a resolution or two.
When I, or anyone else stresses about SLCS, when we butt our heads against the wall, I find myself standing with CheerAdmin and experiencing her sublime calm.
We formed groups of 4 cheerleaders and tried to define the value, and values, of being an SLCS Cheerleader.
At Panels, is the Trainee performing for us? Or are we performing for them? Should we show them the kind of environment we hope to foster at SLCS?
Based on Squad feedback from our survey, we have developed this roadmap for implementing the Cheer-o-meter Level System.
30 Cheerleaders filled out the SLCS Level System Survey. Here are the results.
Cheerleader Feedback and a new Survey on our “Cheerometer” proposal.
If you visit Skytower Stadium you’ll often find Sayrah Parx standing on deck and keeping an eye over the stadium. Like Jessica Alba’s character Max who sat on top of the Seattle Space Needle and kept an eye on the city. Sometimes I like to stand with Sayrah.
Wanna be a star of the Major Arcana!? Pick your card, take a pix, and send it to Aero! IM me with what card you’d like to do. LMK if you have any questions!
We asked ChatGPT to tell us about Cheerleading! ChatGPT talked about becoming a cheerleader, the history of pompoms & uniforms, and also explained “cheer spirit” and “sororal values”. Thank ChatGPT!
Gwynevery Golightly & Aero Bigboots have been talking with SLCS CIO Sayrah Parx about the possibility of updating the SLCS Rank Controller algorithm.
Sayrah Parx, Gwynevery Golightly, and I have been discussing reformulating how the SLCS Rank Controller distributes points. More points for this sort of activity, less points for that sort, and so on. It’s a bit like trying to reform the tax code! One issue we’ve discussed is time to Level Up.
SLCS’s own Lia Duffield-Warblood (opheliaautumn) & Rena Kadoya (syrena.macpherson) brought Battle Championship Wrestling’s supercard “Starfest” event to Srooc Skytower Memorial Stadium today. There were some amazing matches and Rena vs Lia was the main event!
4th & final week of training for Plague & Jenna. Driving & Panels. They both rocked their panels. Ealewn even gave them each an award for awesome participation!
Training Week 3! Jenna and Plague closing in on their final week of training!
We had practice at Cheerport tonight. As we were practicing I noticed that Dancerina Starlight has the best hair! Dancerina wears OG Flexi Hair. I used to love flexi hair! The way it moves when you move. Responds to the breeze in the stadium. Flexi hair is alive!
I was in the SLCS February 2011 Trainee class. Now, 12 years later, I thought I’d check in see what training looks like these days.
Mallory & Jack Carter celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary with a re-wedding ceremony in Marysville. JennyAnne and I attended.
On 2 February 2023 we performed a 27-cheerleader pyramid. No one present could recall ever having done one that big before. Or if it was even possible with the Cheermaster HUD!?
Corrie, Amber, Luna, Kylie, and I went shopping for $hoes!!! Of course, with Dancer Luna + DJ Amber, the trip had to have an impromptu dance segment!
I’d like to respectfully offer 5 training suggestions to the SLCS Training Staff. Each of these is a small thing, but I believe they also carry big implications. I worry that our training may over-emphasize the technical aspects of being an SLCS cheerleader at the expense of of the personal, emotional, sororal, and spiritual aspects of being a part of SLCS.
