Country Sisters

I opened the Second Life Destinations Guide and noticed a dance club I hadn’t been to: Country Sisters.

Country Sisters is family club where you’ll have fun and make new friends. Live DJs streaming great music including Country, Classic Rock, and Dance Favorites past and present. There’s always a contest with cash prizes. Singles and ballroom couples dance balls.

Country Sisters is a sweet club! When I arrived they were playing lots of country music and the place was fairly crowded. It was great! As the DJs changed, the place cleared out, however after a while the crowd built up to a good size again. The new DJ didn’t play country, but too-hard-for-me rock, headbanging stuff that seems popular around SL but that I don’t enjoy. I would have left, but Rufus introduced himself and we started dancing and chatting. As I often do at SL dance clubs, I stopped listening to the stream and just played my own music and spent time with Rufus.

The music at Country Sisters seems more all over the map than most clubs in SL. I’d definitely go back, and then stay or not based on whatever the DJ was playing. As long as it’s a busy dance club with cool peeps like Rufus, Country Sisters is is worth checking out!
